Today, I’m proud to announce that applications are now open for the 4th Annual Emerging Manager Circle Summit, which will take place October 29th in Brooklyn, NY.
Five years ago, I started the Emerging Manager Circle because I needed help. Raising capital, proving myself, supporting founders, and trying not to burn out along the way. I knew others had to be feeling the same thing. So I created a space where we could be real with each other.
Today I’m even more grateful for that small group of peers that has since grown into a global network of nearly a thousand emerging fund managers. This community is not about a single stage or strategy. It’s about a shared journey. We’ve learned that resilience matters, of course, but kindness, character, and community matter even more.
That’s what the EMC Summit is about. Every year since 2022, we’ve gathered a small, off-the-record group of GPs and LPs to share the stories that don’t make it into pitch decks or press releases. We discuss the hard decisions, quiet wins, and personal risks it takes to start and sustain a venture firm. It’s one of the most meaningful days of the year for me.
We host thoughtful voices in the industry. From Fred Wilson and Roger Ehrenberg to Mamoon Hamid, Annie Lamont, Joel Cutler, Josh Koppelman and more. This year’s lineup continues that tradition and includes:
The Summit will take place October 29th in Brooklyn, NY. Space is limited, and registration can be competitive. Last year, over 1,500 applied for just over 300 spots, so please be sure to register early. If you’d like to attend, apply here and we’ll follow up as space allows. Once folks have requested to join us, we will review applicants accordingly and send formal invitations in waves. Our goal is to create balance (one GP for every LP) and unfortunately will not be able to accommodate all that apply. We will do our best to serve as many as we can. To all of those who’ve walked this path with me, this year and all the years before: LPs, peers, founders, friends–thank you. Some of the closest relationships of my life have come from this work. They’ve carried me through difficult seasons and reminded me what really matters. For that I am grateful.
As always, thank you to our sponsors SVB, Cooley, and Aduro Advisors for making this possible.
It takes conviction to start a firm. It takes community to sustain one.
Hope to see you in October!
