Hatch your next business with Equal – Before Day Zero
Earlier this month, our team shared a bit more about Equal’s approach to “Before Day Zero” – our approach to working with a select group of top tier entrepreneurs and operators at the earliest stages of their ideation journeys. This often takes the form of us working alongside founders before they have landed on their next idea – working with them as they sort through market opportunities, diligence ideas, and develop their own convictions.
Since sharing our post last week, we’ve been humbled by the volume of inbound interest from future founders who want to explore the Before Day Zero journey with us. We’re excited about the deep appetite for early-stage collaboration that goes beyond just capital.
To help us organize and respond thoughtfully, we’ve created a short form for anyone interested in working together at this stage. This isn’t meant to be an application or commitment by any means, we’d just love to structure the system to learn more about you, your background, and what you’re looking to build next. We’ll review submissions on a rolling basis and reach out to those who we believe could be a potential fit.
Where we can be most helpful
We’ve found that our Before Day Zero work is most impactful when focused on the sectors where we have the deepest expertise, networks, and conviction. These are companies innovating in Retail, Supply Chain, Insurance, and Climate.
Although you don’t have to commit to building in one of these verticals, we generally find it works best when someone has an openness to explore opportunities in one of them. We can generally be most impactful here as well, seeing research from our Product Owners in each of these verticals and connecting founders with our “Bridger” network of industry experts and potential customers in these sectors.
How to get started
If you’re an experienced tech operator or founder exploring your next swing, we’d love to hear from you. You can fill out the form linked here. We’ll reach out if we feel we can be supportive in your next swing.
